Our language school offers a variety of Italian courses, suitable for all needs
Italian group courses are held from June to October, Individual courses begin throughout the whole year.
New courses start every two weeks. Minimum attendance is one week. Students who already know some Italian can enrol at times other than course- starting dates. Every two weeks the school organises a day excursion to the Island of Giglio. This excursion forms part of the course programme and is included in the course price.
a) Standard course (20 hours a week)
4 hour Italian language group course per day from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. This type of course is perfect for those who want to combine study with other cultural and leisure activities in the afternoon .
b) Combined course (20 hours group + 5 hours Individual lesson a week)
4 hour Italian language group course lesson each day from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday + 1 hour Individual lesson every afternoon. This type of course is ideal for those who would like to combine the experience of a group class with the individual attention of a one to one lesson.
c) Intensive course (20 hours group + 10 hours Individual lesson a week)
4 hour Italian language group course lesson each day from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday + 2 hour Individual lesson every afternoon. The course has been devised for those who want to make the most of their short stay in Italy.
d) Individual course
Particularly suitable for business and professional people and all those who require tuition tailor-made to their individual needs. This Italian course can be held any time from Monday to Friday. Students arrange schedule and contents of one-to-one tutorials together with the school administrative and teaching staff. On request, the school organises lessons for couples. Also in this case, the schedule and the programme of tutorials is arranged between learners and staff. One private lesson is 60 minutes long and is available at all levels.
Levels and Certificates
Our Italian language courses are divided into five levels of language competence: beginner, elementary, lower intermediate, upper intermediate, advanced. At the start of the first day of classes, an initial written and oral test will be given to assess the students' present level of Italian. . At the end of the course, students receive a certificate of attendance, in which the level achieved and the whole duration of the course attended are specified.
